n00ge
When I open a photo in Apple Photos, choose "Edit with >", "Affinity Photo", edit the photo in Affinity Photo and then save (File > Save) I would expect Apple Photos to show the updated photo. Instead, it seems the change is completely lost? Closing the document in Affinity Photo doesn't change anything either. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a different way I should be doing this? Staff MEB Posted November 16, 2017 Staff Share Posted November 16, 2017 Hi n00ge, Welcome to Affinity Forums This is a known issue that's already logged to be looked at. Please use the extension instead (Edit in Affinity Photo). n00ge 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
n00ge
Thanks MEB. That seems to work better. Though, for many files I run across this error (see attached)
Staff MEB Posted November 17, 2017 Staff Share Posted November 17, 2017 Hi n00ger, That's because you are trying to open photos that use the new HEIC format introduced by Apple in their latest OS's. Currently Affinity Photo (desktop) version doesn't support it. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
LenC
My images in Photos/exported PDFs are all pre-HEIC. Does this mean that one should not install High Sierra until Serif deals with this, or can old and new coexist? Please say more.
