Just bought Affinity Photo and some questions

Recommended Posts

I just cancelled my CC subscription this morning and bought AP. Really enjoying it so far and a lot of the same shortcuts has made it very nice. Couple of questions though:

1. When I import an image to work on, it is always locked. Is there a way to import it and have it be unlocked?

2. After I unlock the image to rotate it, I am using the on-screem handle. It works fine except when I manipulate the handle and pause at all, the image starts to move down. Then I have to press Cmd+0 to center it again. Has anyone experienced this "moving down" behavior when the rotation handle is held (after manipulation)?

Thanks in advance

As regards number 2

If when rotating a top handle the handle or the rotation cursor reaches near the top of the screen the image will be pushed down so that the node and/or the rotation cursor will still remain visible on the screen.  The reverse happens when rotating a bottom node whereupon the image will move up.  I would suggest that this is by design.

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Thank you both for the replies.

toltec - yes that did it. I think I need to explore the preferences more. Thanks again.

carl123 - I didn't think of that and you are right. When I zoom out and the image isn't "Zoom to fit" it does not move at all. A bit annoying at first but it now makes total sense. Thanks again.
