ttibsen
Having made the selection of the baby's head, is it possible to cut it out of the picture and paste it into another Affinity Photo document?
ttibsen
Now for some reason I can't make a selection - here's a short video of my attempt - obviously I managed before as shown by the picture above but now the selection process has quit working for me - why? Staff Lee D Posted November 15, 2017 Staff Share Posted November 15, 2017 Hi ttibsen, In the video the Mode is set to Subtract, this will only work on an existing selection. Switch it to New and redraw your selection, making sure the start and end points meet. Now with the selection showing, switch to the Photo Persona and then two finger tap the selection and select Copy. You can now open another document and two finger tap and select Paste or use the Commands menu and then Pasteboard > Paste.
JFisher
Hi ttibsen With regards to your screen recording, I can see you have 'Subtract' selected, if you change this to 'New' you should be able to make a selection. For copying a selection to a new document, make your selection then go to Photo Persona. Under the Commands menu, select Pasteboard then Copy, then go to the Welcome Screen to open a new project, then you can go to Pasteboard>Paste. EDIT: Lee D beat me to it!
