Shipping to Germany costs 98,- CZK, and to the neighboring country is five times more expensive!! At the cost of this book, Amazon offers her free delivery to Czech Republic. It's probably not quite all right. Pšenda
CutieN - it is OK. Until you sign in, you do not know the delivery address. Only counts the price in HK$ with delivery in the home country. After signing in, it will then re-calculate the delivery to Hong Kong, and this is more expensive. CutieN
@Pšenda yes of course that is right. And to Germany it is only 28 HK$. But till I am again in Germany maybe AF 3.0 already available. So no meaning to send it back to home.
Staff MEB Posted November 24, 2017 Staff Share Posted November 24, 2017 That's because the shipping costs are only correctly displayed/calculated after we know your location. As soon as you login and the location is known the shipping costs are updated to reflect the correct price. Merde
One more thing - with such calculated shipping cost buying directly from Affinity store with 25% discount actually would cost me 5,4% more than from Amazon. Makes you think twice...
PascalM
Should it be possible to place an order for both books (photo and designer) at once to reduce shipping costs ?

What's odd, of course, is that (at least from the customer's point of view) the site should already know your probable location if it's showing the price in Canadian or Hong Kong dollars. Most customers ordering for delivery to the US won't be paying in CAD or HKD! 1 minute ago, PascalM said: Should it be possible to place an order for both books (photo and designer) at once to reduce shipping costs ? R C-R
FWIW, the first two chapters, Interface Tour & Core Skills, don't really tell you anything you can't learn from the built-in help topics, although perhaps in a more structured way. The real "meat" of book is in the three remaining chapters that take you step by step through the creation of 17 projects. It also includes links to download a huge amount of project-related content. Personally, I have only begun to work my way through it but at least for me it seems well worth its cost.
