designer - asset area bigger than its content

Recommended Posts

It is not a big problem, but looks like some sort of a minor bug, therefore I thought I might as well inform you of such occurrence.

I have attached a file in which the problem is visible. There are 5 circles with text in them. When I open the file, made in AD 1.5, some circles (assets with symbols) have much bigger area than the sum of their content - numbers 5, 3, and 4. Another 5 and 3 are bound by a correctly sized area box.

What is interesting, when I make some changes to the text in any of the bugged symbols (e.g. colour or text), all instances of the symbol get repaired - their bounding boxes shrink to the correct size.

The correction is saved with the file, so it must be connected with the creation of these assets - I would assume it has something to do with the initial size of the text box. Therefore, there must be some problem with refreshing the assets when placing them on canvas... or something :) Bugs or not, Affinity rules still :)
