AdriannaBallenger
I've installed the updated 1.6, however I can't seem to be able to put the new overlays and whatnot on it. I'm new to using editing software, so I'm not sure how to go about putting those into the new software, to be able to use. Thank you! Staff Lee D Posted November 14, 2017 Staff Share Posted November 14, 2017 Hi AdriannaBallenger, Welcome to the forums. Once you've extracted the Epic skies overlays, you need to import the macro file into Affinity Photo. You do this from the Library panel, if this isn't visible click on View > Studio > Library. Now click on the icon is the top right and choose Import Macros, now browse to the extracted file and select the .afmacros file (Uplift - Epic Skies.afmacros) and import. Also in the extracted folder are the sky files that you can use, it may be best to move these to a safe location. The folder also contains a PDF quick start guide which takes you through the install, this video also shows the process.
AdriannaBallenger
Thank you so much! Will that include all 3 of the downloads in it? Is there a way I can move them so they're easily accessible like a layer or something? Or is there a video on how to use them? Sorry I don't know much, but thank you again! Some include jpeg image files, some do not. As @Lee D said, each of them includes (after unzipping the download) a QuickStart_Guide.pdf file that explains in detail how they can be used with or added to Affinity Photo. (Macros can be added to the app, while image files are like any other file that can be opened or placed in an Affinity document.)
