Hello,

I am very new to the computer graphic topic. I have just started affinity designer tutorials and at very beginning i face following problem.
When i try to join ( blue add button ) 2 closed shapes with pressed alt button to create compound object i see things like on screen 2 and 3.
Depend on how i move tear object i have end up even with something like on screen 4.
Without alt button pressed all works great and btw i am windows 10 user.
Is this a bug or it is happening because of some option?

I found fix for this.

To "fix" your project do the following:

- select the shape on the top (the large one)

- change to the Node tool and drag a marquee around all nodes of the shape

- click on the Smooth button in the Convert section on the context toolbar

You can now perform the add operation as indicated in the tutorial, selecting both shapes and pressing and holding ⌥ (option/alt) while clicking on the add icon.

The result should be correct.
