I'm happy to be proven wrong on this The first thing one will run into is that the AI Template extension cannot be seen in AD...it is .ait The second thing one will run into is that even if the extension is added/corrected, AD will report that it cannot open this type of file. Adobe Illustrator template files do not have the PDF portion and, at least with CS6, there is no means of saving a template with PDF data embedded.
