evtonic3
What would be the reason Designer couldn't open a one layer pixel file in Photo. I have Edit in Photo greyed out. Using lastest 1.6 version of Designer.
Staff Lee D Posted November 3, 2017 Staff Share Posted November 3, 2017 The app may just need resetting, hold the CTRL key down and open the app. When the window appears release the key, now click Clear.
Staff Ben Posted November 3, 2017 Staff Share Posted November 3, 2017 Start up both apps and close them down... then start them up again. The app saves a file at start-up that we use to detect compatible copies of installed software. Hopefully the edit-in options should become enabled. Not sure why this is going on, but all it does is make me never want to do another update for at least a year with you all any more, because something I need always breaks and I'm left going back to Adobe to actually get work done. Come on guys! What OS, and where did you purchase each of the apps? Can you confirm for us the exact release level of each app, as reported by the About dialog? affinity4Christ15
Hi walt.farrell, thanks! I see the auto update only auto-updated for Designer and not Photo. I just updated Photo so let me see if that did it. BRB walt.farrell
affinity4Christ15
UPDATE: Yes. The lop-sided update between the 2 apps was the issue. Same deal for Publisher too. I guess Designer is the only one that is auto-updating at the moment.
