Free content Claim link redirecting to homepage

Recommended Posts

The "Claim Now" button for the free downloads is initially loading to a checkout page, but then immediately redirects to the home page, not allowing me access to the downloads.  I'm using Safari.

Just guessing from the mention of Safari that you are a Mac user. If so, & you have not previously bought anything from the Affinity Store (not to be confused with the Mac App Store), you will have to create an Affinity Store account & password before you can download the free (for a limited time) content.

Affinity Photo 1.7.3, Affinity Designer 1.7.3, Affinity Publisher 1.7.3; macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 iMac (27-inch, Late 2012); 2.9GHz i5 CPU; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M; 8GB RAM
Affinity Photo 1.7.3.155 & Affinity Designer 1.7.3.1 for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 13.1.2

Hi darcik,

Is this still failing for you? I've just tried it myself using High Sierra and Affinity Photo 1.6 and the process completed OK. What OS are you using?

Hey Sean, I hadn't upgraded to High Sierra, yet, so I did that.  I've cleared my cache & history.  For some reason it keeps redirecting from the Checkout page to the Home page when it's loading.  It's doing it with both Photo & Designer.  It's not the end of the world if I don't get the freebees, but it's just weird that it's doing that and I haven't seen anyone else with this problem.

Are you sure it is the Affinity Store home page you are being directed to, the one that says "Welcome to the Affinity Store" in large type at the top of the page?

Is there a black bar across the top of the page that says "Have an Affinity account?" on the right with a "Sign In" button next to it? If so, what happens when you click the button?

Ok, well, I haven't figured it out, but I do now know that it has something to do with my iMac.  I tried it on my old MacBook Pro & it worked just fine.  Go figure.....
