Drag and drop open position of image

Recommended Posts

Hi,

long time user of AP Windows etc. Searched but could not find a solution. Query;

I open a jpg 4400x1800 ok in AP Windows.

I then use Win 7 drag and drop to drop another image (different edit) of same size on to the previously opened image.

Problem is the newly d&d image is offset to the right and down, NOT directly over the original image!

Frustrating as I am blending the lower image components using a mask, but have to fiddle lining it up first!

Any ideas?

Cheers, Paul

On my system (Windows 8.0)

When I drag and drop another image onto an open image it places it where the cursor is when I release the drag

So if I want it directly lined up with the original image I just move my cursor to the top left of the original image then release

( i.e. x=0, y=0 cursor position )

If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
