Crash with all my old affinity designer work files. Version 1.5.3.69

Recommended Posts

The program crashes after trying to work with my project files. Does not want to send reports.
Examples of messages and the project file I attached.

How to break the program?

Open the 'Robot_animation' file, open a new file from scratch, copy the object 'ROBOT with shadow' from the 'Robot_animation' file to a new affinity designer file.

Help me to understand! Unable to work.

I continued the experiments and found out how I broke my files. I have one big file in which I collect all the design elements (this is a computer game). The robot was one of the elements. This file is very large. (now it does not collapse during work). But if you copy a robot to another file, then this new file becomes broken and collapses each time you try to work with it. I studied the program and made the whole design of my game in your software product. Please help me not to destroy my work.

Hi MoRLOK

This seems to be due to the fact the robot is a symbol. Something is not liking it. Luckily there is a way to get around it. If you select the robot, bring up the symbols panel then click detach it will take it back to being a group. This should the allow you to carry on. the other good news is that if you need this item to be a symbol, the crash no longer occurs in the upcoming 1.6 release. You can download a beta of it from here

Cheers
