Question about iterative drawing

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help?

Some time ago I saw a drawing (vector) program that allowed you to draw iteratively, for example first you design a leaf, then in a different layer or artboard you arrange the leaves on a twig, then arrange the twigs on a branch, etc… At any point you can go back and edit your first leaf, and the changes flow through the other composite designs.

Q1) Does anyone know what this program is called?

Q2) Is there a way to do this sort of thing in AD?

Thanks

Hi AJKS,

I'm not sure which other program you could of seen, but perhaps someone else might have an idea.  Affinity Designer does have the option to create Symbols, which would work in the way you describe.  You can see a tutorial here:https://vimeo.com/182383520

Thanks Stokerg,

Symbols does exactly what I was thinking of.

I might have seen that other program on GitHub or SourceForge or MacPorts, I have been searching for it for hours to no avail.

Thanks again
