Hi Raymichael,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

The brush line style only works with vector based brushes which are only available in Affinity Designer. This line style button shouldn't be selectable in Affinity Photo and was already disabled in the latest Photo Beta. Currently there's no way to stroke a path in Affinity Photo.

In Affinity Photo 1.6.1.93 I still can select "Texture Line Style". When I click on "Properties" (next to the the brush settings dialog pops up, but all functions are greyed out.

I really need this feature for equal brush distribution, color dynamics, etc.

Can we just make a feature request or was this already overruled?

Is there a workaround in any way? Where can I find it?

Is this not possible in photo v2 also, and just in designer v2? How can I get it from Photo to Designer? I just have the current paste it from the photo to designer or can you use  Studio link with AP and AD. I haven't use these programs in a while, so I forgot how to use them.

It is only a function of Designer, not Photo. If you have both, you can transfer a file from one to the other using File > Edit in Designer or File > Edit in Photo, as appropriate.

Note: this is not StudioLink, which is only a function of Publisher. But if you're in Publisher, you can use it to easily switch from the Photo Persona to the Designer Persona, and back.
