Opening Photoshop file - photopea.com

Hi guys,

 

I found out, that this program - https://www.photopea.com/ - can open photoshop files much better and maybe even perfect, than Affinity Designer. I am little bit disappointed. Just saying. Otherwise I am currently missing just few features from Photoshop (e.g. importing video / gif files). Great software. Thank you.

This is a good tip!  I've seen a lot of new websites lately that do conversions for all sorts of proprietary files, so this is yet another cheap option for those who don't own PS.  If I may, another option, which works so closely with PS, but you don't have to worry about high subscription costs, is the Affinity suite.  Affinity, based in the UK, created Adobe-type products that mimic the aforementioned so well that whether you are coming from Adobe products or are a first-time user, you won't have trouble getting up and running.  Another great point to make is that all modules from Affinity are a one-time license payment, meaning that they adhere to a perpetual license system, instead of monthly/yearly subscriptions.  Each module is reasonably priced and as for what you get with it, I still have yet to find a file format that Affinity has trouble with. I have a XP-Pen Star G640 drawing pad . and it  is working perfectly with photopea for photo editing .

Anyways, thanks again for the tip and if there is interest in Affinity, it is a cheaper alternative with less stumbling blocks.

First go to Photopea website.

 

As usual, click “File” >> “Open” >> Select file or click open from computer.
