Sascha
Hi, the masking is somehow version 0.9 :-) I would love to (and need to replace PS) some more pimping here Binary masking (on-off) needs to be changed to more smooth transitions (GreyMask) Allow to feather the borders Allow to invert the mask (could not figure it out) I would also like to see (if possible and i did not get it - i am sorry): allow to include the adjustment details (where you perform the adjustments in the Studio (right pane) generate a pixel layer with one click that snapshots the current version some more will come with more testing ... but i am very convinced and very happy about what i see if you put it up for preorder i will consider for sure if you fix the masking :-) thanks for the great job Sascha
vinmunoz
looking for the invert mask too and i can't find it either. also i can't mask an adjustment layer. it has to be because that's how i do my dodging and burning using curves adjustment layer. and then to be able to group multiple layers and can mask the whole group as well. SebastianPetrovski
It would be ideal if pixel and vector masked worked as they do in photoshop; sitting as part of the layer they are applicable to, rather than a separate layer. Staff MEB Posted February 11, 2015 Staff Share Posted February 11, 2015 You can attach a mask to a layer in Affinity. You can also attach it to an adjustment. To do it just drag the mask over the thumbnail of the layer or adjustment you want to mask until a vertical blue marker appears. FullFrameFX
Ahhh.. So there's some getting used to but its doable. You have to use the select mask feature, in the middle of the window, and paint in what you want to change. Once you select, pick your adjustment and voila!
