10on12
Struggling to find the options. I know they exist as an effect (fx) but can't seem to find a way to apply them to a stroked shape. Thanks in advance. S
gdenby
With a vector object selected, note that at the top bar on the left it will display something like: Ellipse Fill stroke Convert to donut... Click the bar after "stroke" and the stroke color box. This will give access to the stroke dialogue, where you can work with stroke size, alignment, end caps, etc. Quote iMac 27" Retina, c. 2015: OS X 10.11.5: 3.3 GHz I c-5: 32 Gb, AMD Radeon R9 M290 2048 Mb iPad 12.9" Retina, iOS 10, 512 Gb, Apple pencil Huion WH1409 tablet
R C-R
There are buttons in the Stroke panel for this: Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.1 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
10on12
I wonder is this a glitch - just combined a mix of shapes and the Align options have no effect at all?
R C-R
How specifically did you combine them? Staff MEB Posted October 24, 2017 Staff Share Posted October 24, 2017 Hi 10on12, That's because you are probably working with an open path. The alignment options only work with closed paths (shapes). 10on12
A selection of circles, divided - a few lines added, then joined end points (knife tool anyone?) Works fine when simple combining a number of simple shapes shapes - but possibly the direction of the curves are different for each part? That might be the problem? Staff MEB Posted October 24, 2017 Staff Share Posted October 24, 2017 Check the nodes you have joined. There's probably one that wasn't joined properly. If so you have an open path there.
