There’s a pinned thread at the top of the Designer Beta on Mac forum, and you’ll find a download link in the first post to that thread. Keep the release version installed. The Mac betas look for the release version to verify that you’re eligible to run a customer beta (and by having both versions installed you can easily switch between them if necessary). As it says, saving files in the 1.6 format may make it impossible to open them in 1.5 versions, so it is a good idea to make backups of any of your 1.5 version work that you want to test with the 1.6 betas.
