There are always 72 (digital) points per inch, but the number of pixels per inch in a document will depend on the DPI/PPI setting for that document.

Just to make things more complicated for everyone, there are varying standards used to define the typographic point around the world, so it is probably best to avoid working in points unless you absolutely need to for some reason. For websites, points & DPI are both irrelevant -- all that matters is pixel resolution.

There are several ways to change the units in Affinity. One of the simplest is to select the View (hand) Tool & change the "Units:" setting in the Context Toolbar.

Oh, geez. In most all applications, they use 72 pts to an inch. Some allow one to choose which method is used and/or enter a number.

Constantly using that article only serves to confound the issue as relates to applications.

I don't "constantly" post a reference to that article, but the issue comes up from time to in these forums, for example when users ask why the preset text size value choices in the context toolbar menu are in fractional mm when the document is set to use mm, or for that matter why Affinity bothers to include anything as archaic as points as a document unit in the first place.

It seemed relevant here as well, so I'm not sure why you are complaining about my posting a link in my reply.
