Staff MEB Posted October 19, 2017 Staff Share Posted October 19, 2017 Hi Vel, Welcome to Affinity Forums If you use the Smudge Tool over the vector strokes, each vector stroke will be (automatically) rasterised as you paint over each one and the program will continue to paint on the rasterised layer until you select another vector stroke. It's is time consuming and creates a huge number of raster layers. Besides this the smudge effect will only affect each stroke individually (the one that was automatically rasterised until you switch to another one) instead of blending them all as you smudge over them. One way to overcome this is to select all layer/vector objects and group them (⌃(ctrl) +G) then right clik the Group layer in the Layers panel and select Rasterise to convert the whole drawing into a pixel layer (you may want to create a duplicate of the group first to preserve the original vector objects). Then you can use the Smudge Tool over the pixel layer as you do regularly to smudge/blend the all the elements as if they were a single object.
