machadodesign
If I use the perspective distort tool on a layer that has a mask I cannot see that there is any way to make the tool affect the layer and mask together. This is a real hassle to any workflow that has images with masked layers.
toltec
You would have to rasterise the mask and image first to turn them into one image. I believe. Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.
R C-R
I have no idea why this (seems to?) work better, but instead of using the Perspective Tool, try the Live Perspective filter (not the regular, destructive Perspective filter). Make sure the layer order looks like this, with the live filter below the mask: Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.1 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
machadodesign
Thanks R-C-R the Live Filter works perfectly and I too am not sure why it would be different than the perspective tool. I love Affinity Photo and Designer but there are still a lot of things that I find extremely counterintuitive.
