Guest
hi, I am making a mockup and I am trying to achieve the effect of skewing (not shearing) as shown in the image below the right edges of the picture is closer to the center than the left ones I am sure that this feature is right there in affinity designer waiting for us to use it because the image below is taken from the official trailer
Staff MEB Posted October 16, 2017 Staff Share Posted October 16, 2017 Hi Ahmed Yasir, Welcome to Affinity Forums The skewing effect you see on the clip was actually achieved using the Live Perspective filter available in Affinity Photo. What you are seeing is the ability that Affinity apps have to use and edit certain features from other apps of the suite without the need to opening them/switch to them (in this case a Live Perspective filter), however, the tools needed to create these effects from scratch are not exposed to the user in their non-native apps. In this case Designer doesn't possess any filters as this is a feature you usually find on photo editors, so you really need Affinity Photo to create/generate the Live Perspective filter the first time. Guest
Thank you, I wish that you add this feature as soon as possible cause I really need it but is there any other way that I can achieve with the same results (without afp)
Staff MEB Posted October 16, 2017 Staff Share Posted October 16, 2017 No, currently Affinity Designer doesn't have any perspective distortion tools. You can only shear object/layers/groups. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
