SigsCreations
Is there a way to duplicate and shape and have it auto-rotated? Ilke I would like to make 12 copies of a design and then auto-rotate each one 22 degrees from each other. I did have to write a macro to do it in another program but I don't recall having a macro ability in this one. Thanks SIg
gdenby
Affinity Designer or Photo? If Designer, look up 'power duplicate." Guest
Hello SigsCreations, Draw the first shape, "Ctrl + J" ("Cmd + J" for Mac), enter 22 in the "Rotate" window of the "Transform" panel, then move the copy to the desired place and then repeat "Ctrl / Cmd + J "as many times as necessary. SigsCreations
reglico, yes that is how I ended up doing it. In other programs, I could write a little macro and automate it. I was just hoping there was a way to do it in designer that was more automated. gdenby, sorry. I forget the forums are combined. I am using designer. thanks I got the design done. Very happy with how it turned out, but I did need to fall back and forth between Designer and PSP because I needed some filters. I did the trial of Photo and was impressed but could not get my filters to work in it.
Guest
@SigsCreations, thank you for the comment, to my knowledge it is unfortunately not possible to use macros with AD.
John Rostron
Seems to me that the Power Duplicate is a lot easier than using a macro!
