Jim Blue
Hi, I made the switch from Adobe Creative Cloud to Affinity Designer and Photo. I don't regret it at all but I'm missing something really useful that neither Affinity Designer nor Photo have. I'm talking about how it's possible to resize from center in Photoshop just by using ALT modifier. Same think about SHIFT modifier to keep aspect ratio. The best is to be able to use those modifier separately or combine. Can you consider adding this? Thank you so much
Staff MEB Posted October 15, 2017 Staff Share Posted October 15, 2017 Hi Jim Blue, Welcome to Affinity Forums In Affinity apps the modifier to resize from center is ⌘ (cmd). you can combine it with ⇧ (shift) to resize proportionately. Regarding using ⇧ (shift) to scale proportionately, Affinity apps do it by default for objects that have an intrinsic aspect ratio without the need to press any modifier key - like images and text -. For the rest - paths, shapes etc - you have to press it. If you don't like this behavior you can change it in Affinity Designer/Photo Preferences, Tools section, Move Tool Aspect Constrain dropdown.
