Grazie
Hi, I was watching a tutorial for AF where the trainer went to great length in explaining how we can use Blends to remove a white background of a PNG file. This was to allow just the object to sit on a transparent BG. But then I thought, why not activate/use the ALPHA (transparent) Channel instead? So, my question is: Does AF recognize PNG Alpha Channel? And can we just click somewhere to activate it? Cheers G Edited October 13, 2017 by Grazie Left out PNG comment
Staff stokerg Posted October 18, 2017 Staff Share Posted October 18, 2017 Hi Grazie, Affinity Photo does recognize PNG Alpha Channels, If you use the blend method and then check the Channels Tab you'll see the Alpha Channel is being used. You can also try Filers>Colours>Erase White Paper which will remove the white from png you are working with.
