PeteB
In the EXIF summary there is a box for description in which the picture's title can be typed. Just above there is a line for creator, which I assume should be in order to identify the photographer. This shows as n/a and cannot be overwritten. How can I place my identity in EXIF , which seems to be the only access to the picture's metadata? Or is there another route to doing this? toltec
In Windows, you can right click on the file, click Properties > Details and enter a name in the Author box. Not all filetypes allow that but jpegs certainly do. Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.
PeteB
Thank you for your suggestion toltec. Unfortunately, as a Mac user I am not using Windows, so cannot do as you suggest.

At risk of stating the bleedin' obvious, some cameras can embed copyright details in the EXIF data. It might be hidden in a menu somewhere.
