Mac text input fields behave oddly when replacing content

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to modify the transform properties of a layer on Mac but when I double click the input fields its failing to auto-select the text and my values get appended - the focus on the field is also white rather than the blue of selection, I have to drag select the text to replace it, this seems really weird behavior compared to other apps like Sketch where this is simple. Is this some non obvious setting somewhere ? It's painful to use.

Double-clicking should select either the number or dimensional unit, depending on which one the pointer is over. It is also possible to select just the space character between them, but that rarely happens. Triple-clicking should select everything.

This is not what happens for you?
