Frankentoon Studio
Hello guys! First of all. Nice job on the latest Beta! Love how things are coming out with every release. However, there's a problem regarding Pixel brushes, which is happening since the first release of Designer and doesn't appear in the roadmap yet. It's this 'polygon-like' strokes when drawing with Pixel Brushes (attachment). Would be nice to have this fixed, since in my opinion, ruins a little bit the whole sketching experience. Thanks guys and keep up the amazing work you're doing! Chris_K
Hi Enrique Have you tried the brush stabilisation feature in 1.6? It's available to pixel brushes too and should go some what to alleviating this Cheers Serif Europe Ltd - Check the latest news at www.affinity.serif.com

However I don't use stabilizers at all when sketching. Thanks anyway Chris! • Frankentoon Studio - Tutorials and Resources for Designer, Photo and Publisher Follow us on Instagram | Follow us on Twitter | Like us on Facebook
Staff Chris B Posted October 4, 2017 Staff Share Posted October 4, 2017 Hey Enrique, Another user has reported something similar here. I've only been able to reproduce it with a Wacom tablet and stylus. I've passed this over to development. I'll let you know when I get feedback. I'm using a Wacom Bamboo Stylus indeed. Thanks a lot, you're very kind. • Frankentoon Studio - Tutorials and Resources for Designer, Photo and Publisher Follow us on Instagram | Follow us on Twitter | Like us on Facebook
Staff Chris B Posted October 5, 2017 Staff Share Posted October 5, 2017 I noticed the release version seems to be doing this to some extent. Can you confirm if you think one of the beta builds was better than the current beta build at handling this? Frank Jonen
FYI This happens in all of my drawing apps except Rebelle and Paintstorm, both of which seem to interpolate the coarse Wacom digitiser. Maybe add a Wacom checkbox in the preferences when you add interpolation. Otherwise users with finer digitisers (Huion, X-Pen, UC-Logic) could have issues. Staff MattP Posted October 12, 2017 Staff Share Posted October 12, 2017 I can definitely make this better - I'm aware of the problem and it will get sorted. Thanks! Bauke and Chris B
