Anim8or
Long time Photoshop user. One of the things I was able to do in Photoshop that I would like to know how to do, if possible, is use a layer mask to produce a selection. For example, if I have a layer with a mask of a person, like in the tutorial on selections and masks, is it possible to take the layer mask produced and turn it back into a selection? Thanks in advance for any help.
dmstraker
Control-click on mask layer. (took me a while to find this too -- fortunately there's lots of help on this forum!) davidz1989
Make sure to select layer mask Go to channels studio, select layer mask alpha and select create spare channel from spare channel you can select to load to pixel selection Same way if you want to create selection from opacity layers, go to channels studio, select layer pixel alpha and create spare channel then you can load selection from spare channel I hope developer can make easy way to create selection from layer just like affinity photo desktop abayomi185
Anim8or
Thank you everyone for the help. Davidz1989 - I agree! I hope they will make some of this a bit easier to get to, especially since a lot of us have keyboards we connect to our iPads. DMSTracker - That is how it worked in Photoshop, unfortunately Alfred is right, even with the keyboard attached to the iPad, this functionality does not work. THank you all again, really appreciate it! - Anim8or

I arrive via 'stuff I've not read' forum link and didn't notice the iPad bit.
