Dan Daniel
I am on Windows trial. Laptop plus 2 external screens (3 screens total). When I first used Affinity Photo it opened on the laptop screen- the desktop. I then moved it to screen 2, and then pulled menus (palettes??) on to screen 3. This is my standard Photoshop setup. I eventually closed the program. When I restarted, I got a welcome screen on the laptop but no general program screen behind it. I select cancel and I have NO window of any part of Affinity anywhere. I do have a taskbar button that I can use to close the program. If I select new document on the welcome screen, I get a menu to determine size, etc. After making my selection, again, NO program to be seen. I guess the program is in some virtual 6th screen that I don't know how to reach? The only way to get back to a functioning program is to restart the whole computer, not good. Also, can I save my setup of main window and menu palette locations? Doesn't seem to be happening at all, and again if I need to rebuild my workspace after each restart, well..... Dan Daniel
OK, great... now if I do a computer restart I don't even get back to the initial window on my main desktop. Is there a way to start Affinity Photo in a 'safe' mode or whatever phrase you want to use for a reset to defaults? I can't see any window for the program after starting so I can't do it inside the program itself. A .config file to delete? Quite frustrating (yes, I've searched through these forums but maybe my terms are wrong). Anyone who can direct me to A) safe/default/restoration start to get the program window back and B) any discussion of multiple monitor usage on Windows 10, saving settings ...much appreciated. The program looks worth exploring... well, lookED since now I can't see a friggin' thing. Well, if there is no answer here I'll do a reinstall tonight. And if this is the wrong section of the form, please direct me...

Dan Daniel
Thanks for the reply. This didn't work. I get a start screen split between monitor 2 and monitor 1, and once I go through that I have blank screens and no access to a running program. I did a reinstall and SAME THING. That's weird, that a fresh install wouldn't clear a config problem. I GIVE UP. If anyone knows how to do a true fresh install, and how to work with multiple monitors, let me know. Until then, I guess I let the trial expire and stick with PS.
