Opening the same Document simultaniously

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

another question of my team,

When i open a Document in Affinity Photo, would affinity Photo warn me when the document is allready in use, so two people simultaniously wouldn´t be able to accidentially change the same document and override the other one ?

i think for bigger companys this should at last be an option in the settings to turn it on.

is it allready possible ?

Hi Tom Schülke,

Are you working on Mac or Windows? You shouldn't be able to open the same document simultaneously in two different apps, no matter if on a different computer or on the same (for example opening it in the Beta and the Retail version simultaenously). You will receive a warning message if you try to do it. Affinity doesn't store all document data in the file when it's loaded in the program, some data is placed somewhere else during editing (for performance reason), so having two computers editing the same file could lead to corruption.
