I just viewed this video and cannot get the pasted picture to expand to the size of the image I pasted into. It only cover a minor portion to the upper left hand corner.

It will not allow me to move or modify it. I am sure it is my lack of knowledge but would appreciate any help.

Thanks to all that respond.

Hi dmcguiney,

Select the Move Tool click on the pasted image to select it and zoom out the document until you can see the bounding box handles of the pasted image (the blue dots). Then drag them to adjust the size of the image. You can also reposition the image dragging it from any point inside its area.

Objects that have an intrinsic aspect ratio, like text and images are scaled proportionately in Affinity Designer/Photo without the need to press any modifier key (by default). However in case you are used to the way other software work - where you usually have to press and hold ⇧ (shift) to scale objects proportionately - you can change this behaviour going to Affinity Designer/Photo Preferences, Tools section and choosing the behaviour you want from the Move Tool Aspect Constraint dropdown.
