iPad Photo app Extension?

Recommended Posts

I'm sure this has been asked, but I have not seen a definitive answer:

Will Affinity offer an extension functionality in the Photos app? This would be incredibly helpful, as currently the workflow requires a user to import a pic, modify, and then re-import it into Photos. Not only does it make duplicates of the photo in the app (the original and the Affinity version), the Affinity import also does not include the original photo metadata (location, date, etc). This means that you'll have Affinity-edited versions of your  photos floating around out of sequence when viewing via the photos app in the default Collections view. Definitely not ideal!

Please let us know if this is on the roadmap or not. If it is, what is the timeframe to release?

Hi crasher39 and Welcome to the Forums,

It's been requested a number of times to support Extensions on the iPad.  I know the Dev team want to improve workflow when it comes to the iPad and this may be something they include in a future update.  When this would be, i honestly don't know.
