Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

While I'm searching for a good workflow to manage a full "back and forth" import/export of vector gfx via Pdf with Affinity Photo and Autodesk Graphic  (on my iPad Pro 12.9 2th gen)

I'm wandering if there is a tools inside Affinity Photo for setting "curve stroke" like the Desktop counterpart.

I didn't find anything about that on Photo for iPad. I really need that tool!

Choosing the Pen Tool will give you access to a Width control.

Hi mkdm,

With the shape selected, go to the Pen Tool and look at the context toolbar on bottom. There's a control there to set the width of the stroke. Affinity Designer for iPad should expand these controls and eventually some will be eventually ported back to Photo as well.

Thanks a lot!

Is there any "Expand Stroke" command available in Affinity Photo for ipad ?

You said : "... Affinity Designer for iPad..."

So...is there any chance to see "Affinity Designer" soon on iPad Pro too ?

That would be a HUGE improvement for productivity on iPad Pro!!

First of all I would like to say you the affinity for iPad is simply outstanding. I would simply report two a bugs  i found into the raw development tool.

When I need to rotate a raw (using the command into the menu) and then apply it, the final image became transparen in the bottom zone.

While i'm developing a raw if I activate the crop tool and then tap the X icon to exit the tool, the image became dark and i can't undo.

I report these bugs simply because I love you software and I want to help you to improve it.

iOS11 and AP are just beautiful and works flawless together! I just wanted to say :)
But I still prefer the desktop version and I've been waiting a long time for the upcoming 1.6 release. Hopefully it doesn't take long anymore.

Hi MacMac,

If you are importing the images from Apple Photos then the image name is not retained since Apple Photos doesn't have/provide them. If you open from a cloud service then the name will be retained when you export the file.

Hi...

Apple photo does retain the name of an image. It is found under the "i" icon (information). It also seems that Affinity looses the photo name when images are brought in from Adobe Bride.

Also, Affinity does not retain where the file came from. When exporting to jpg the program has to be shown where to put the jpg image. I would be nice if the default was to put the processed image back where the original came from. Am I missing a  preference setting on this?

Thanks, Joe

Hi MacMac,

Are you talking about Apple Photos on iPad? As far as i know there's no "i" (information) icon anywhere, only in the desktop version. The files are kept with the original names in Apple Photo's library but apparently it doesn't provide them to third-party apps when files are imported (i may be wrong and will check this again).
