badjohn
I am new to Affinity. I am running the trial at the moment but I am liking it and will almost certainly but it when the trial ends. However, there are a few work flows which I have not managed to get as smooth as I like. One example is resizing in batch jobs. Is there anyway to save commonly used settings such as file type, size, and quality? E.g. so I could quickly resize a batch to jpg, 900x900, at 90%. I see the macros but, as far as I can figure out, they don't do this job.
Staff stokerg Posted September 20, 2017 Staff Share Posted September 20, 2017 Hi badjohn and Welcome to the Forums, We currently don't have a way of saving the settings used in Batch. You could record a Macro to resize the images and apply this on the batch window but you'd still need to set the quality before starting the Batch job. badjohn
Thanks. Well, it is a nice to have rather than essential. I was very happy with the trial so I went ahead and bought the product.
AdrianB
+1 for saving settings for batch jobs. Doing a lot of batch jobs for different folders it's quite a chore to always recreate all the settings, there is too many steps. Saving settings would save a lot of time and repeating tasks, which kind of is why you would choose batch jobs to begin with…
