Is the issue only occurring with this project file and after opening what adjustments/edits are being done? Do you get prompted to submit a crash report, if you do, leave the prompt on the screen follow the steps below and attach the crash report. With the crash reporter from Affinity on screen 1, Windows key + R (Windows Run) 2, Type in %appdata% and press Enter 3, Browse to Affinity > Photo > 1.0 > CrashReports Also would you be able to provide a link to the file, and the steps being taken.
