In a video about curves it showed how to affect each separate colour however, when I click the appropriate box, the individual colours do not appear. Is there a reason for this, please?

Is there a way in which I can move the selected point on the curve using keys such as the arrow keys, please?

I'd strongly recommend working this guide about curves

https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/18992-understanding-curves/?p=88071

it will be one of the things that really help understanding photo manipulation

regarding your questions:

1. what box do you mean?

2. to delete a point, click and press backspace/ delete

cheers

Hi Littletank,
When you change the channel on the Curves Adjustment you are only affecting the color of that channel. The image still displays a composite of all the three channels (red, green. and blue) but you are only affecting the channel the colors of the channel you have chosen. So you only see any difference in the composite image when you actually change the curve graph for that channel. It will never show the colour for that channel alone.

Currently it's not possible to move points on the curve with the arrow keys. This was already requested a few times but wasn't implemented yet.

Thanks MEB for responding, perhaps I did not word my question very well. I have been using Curves on Gimp and Photoshop for many years and have a passable understanding  on what they do so here goes again. On the left hand side of the curves panel and just under the X axis is a box showing RGB which, when selected, gives a short menu of Gray, RGB, CMYK and LAB. From what I had seen in a video, I also expected to see Red, Green and Blue. As for the movement of points with the arrow keys I look forward to its implementation.
