Staff MEB Posted September 5, 2017 Staff Share Posted September 5, 2017 Hi ric67, Welcome to Affinity Forums Check this video tutorial (Affinity Photo). It covers non-destructive dodge and burn. Here's another for iPad also covering the non-destrcutive process. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
ric67
I'll check that out thanks. Hopefully it shows dodging and burning using the brush tool rather than the actual Dodge burn tool. However I'm looking into this apparent memory holding problem this app is reported to have before purchasing.
Staff MEB Posted September 5, 2017 Staff Share Posted September 5, 2017 These tutorials does use the Dodge and Burn Tools. If you prefer to use the Paint Brush Tool the process is similar: create your 50% grey layer set the blend mode to Overlay or Soft Light, set the brush opacity, flow and hardness as you see fit and paint with black/white on the layer.
