Dave 007
Hi I have been reading an article regarding processing an image in Raw and changing the canvas colour to white ( which is possible in Photo Shop). By doing this the article says it helps to get a better sense of the exposure . My question is, is this possible in AP? Thanks
Staff MEB Posted September 5, 2017 Staff Share Posted September 5, 2017 When you create a new document in Affinity Photo, it will have a white canvas by default. If you open an image then the background will be transparent by default. In both cases you can control this going to the Document menu and ticking/unticking Transparent Background according to your needs. It's not possible to choose a colour for the canvas but you can add a Fill Layer to the bottom of the layers stack (menu Layer ▸ New Fill Layer) and pick any colour for it in the Colours panel.
