Hello @Martin Gregor, and welcome to the forums.

Affinity Designer does not accept plugins. These are only available for Affinity Photo.

Hello, my first post over here.

This request to add OPOS-marks in Affinity Designer is quite important for a lot of users. Without Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw it's nearly impossible to add these marks to the design. Any plans to add OPOS-marks in the future? Now users had to save the design to EPS or PDF and import that into CorelDraw of Illustrator and add the marks over there. Why would anyone with a setup where he or she had to use OPOS buy Affinity Designer anyway? They have Illustrator or CorelDraw and either of these programs just to use them to add OPOS-marks is a waste of money and resources.

The script to add OPOS-marks in CorelDraw done by Summa is written in VisualBasic so that should not be very hard to translate into something else that could be used in Affinity Designer.

Designer won’t be able to handle that particular plug-in until (if ever) it has plug-in capabilities, which it doesn’t at present.

We users probably won’t hear any different about that unless Serif announce it in a beta at some point.

You can follow the relevant beta threads to keep up-to-date with new features as they are added.

Serif don’t generally tell us about new up-coming features, or timings, and there is no ‘roadmap’ for users to follow – we just wait and see what happens.

(Also, this thread is for the V1 applications which won’t get any new features anyway.)

I have a new information from Summa about the OPOS Registration Marks.

It is possible to place them yourself, the plugin is not absolutely necessary.

Attached you find a detailed OPOS operation taht explains how to manually set OPOS markers.
This could be a good workaround for some of us, even if a plugin is of course still appreciated in the future.

Regards
Martin
