Jock
From 01:44 in the Live Filters tutorial for desktop Affinity Photo you demonstrate a technique using live filters and the Paint Brush tool, which involves inverting the layer and then applying the Unsharp Mask filter with the Brush. In Affinity on the iPad, am I correct in thinking you can't do this in the same way, but you have to make a selection first and then apply the filter? Staff MEB Posted August 24, 2017 Staff Share Posted August 24, 2017 Hi Jock, Welcome to Affinity Forums You can also do this in Affinity Photo for iPad as in the video tutorial. To invert the mask, select it in the Layers Studio then open the Channels Studio tap the three dots in front of the corresponding live filter channel and select Invert. You can then paint with white on the mask using the Brush Tool as in the video tutorial.
