Affinity Designer Used to drive a Trotec Laser Cutter

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I absolutely love AD and AP , been a serif user since PP4...

Anyway, i m currently generating a lot of files to drive a Trotec Laser cutter, the only issue i have is that for the Job Controller to understand it need to make a cut i need to have the line at 0.01 mm in pure red 255,0,0

so it works fine and all, but the issue is that zoomed out its almost impossible to distinguish those lines.

Not sure if this is a bug, i m pretty sure there might be an option to enhance the display of thin lines when zoomed out.

Anyone could provides a tips or a workaround?

Hi Quellcrist,

I'm moving this thread to Feature Requests as you are wanting a 'Hairline' feature which is not yet available.

As a workaround you could probably group all of your vector objects and then apply an Outline FX to that group. That way your shapes will retain the correct line width and you can still see them, then when it comes to export you only have to turn the FX off on the one group instead of every object.
