MickRose Posted August 17, 2017 Share Posted August 17, 2017 Beta 1 6.0 80 installs okay but always crashes when I try to open the application with a "Unhandled exeption" box. I uninstalled 1.6.0.80 and have tried previous Betas 1 6 0 71 and 1 6 0 75. The splash screen on these still says 1 6 0 80 and it stll gets the same error message "Unhandled exeption". Also could you attach screenshots showing the full list of programs running in the Details tab of Task Manager please? Are you using any form of Graphics Tablet or other devices connected? There are too many running tasks to make a complete screenshot of the list, but again, nothing special. Outlook, Browser, Affinity. As I noted before, it might be something related to color profiles because the log stops there. On my home pc the beta works flawlessly and shows the complete log as expected. Even if you can just do a couple of screenshots as you've scrolled down the list that would be quite helpful. Also could you open up the Colour Management (search Windows start for 'Colour Management') dialog and take a screenshot of that please. If you could attach screenshots showing the Devices Tab (for each Display you are using) and also the Advanced Tab that could also be helpful. It can be delay in shape drag (outline is moving, but fill stays in place and catchup after a second ) or black screen with "Affinity Designer (Not Responding)" in the title bar - it not last long,too - 5 secs tops, and after a while it always back on track. I asked myself if it wasn't due to the current project contents with a couple of photos as references next to the artboard, but I had worked on more complex illustrations in previous beta versions without any issues. When I zoom in or press space the app hungs during few seconds. It does not happen if I open the file with 1.5 version. Windows 7, 11 GB RAM, quad core, radeon gt 730. Regards.
