How do I export one icon that's part of artboard composition

I can't seem to find solution, even inside persona view. I've got an icon in the interface mockup I've made. I want to export it as .svg - I can't seem to be able to export anything other than artboard or some big chunks of slices that are not vector.

First make sure every item in your icon is a vector & then group them together or put them all on a layer of their own. Then, in the Export Persona, in the Layers tab select the group or layer & click the "Create Slice" button at the bottom of the panel. Switch to the Slices tab, select the newly created slice you just made, set the Export Options as you wish, & click the square with upward pointing arrow icon next to it to export just that slice.
