I'm finding it very hard to get to grips with some of the more basic functions of this software, could anyone tell me how to draw a normal rectangle? with a thicker border round it, not a filled rectangle, just a normal hollow rectangle. 

Also how can i crop or erase the inside of an object? i wanted to just remove a large portion inside an object and can't find a tutorial on how. 

 

Does anyone do live videos of themselves using this software on youtube or twitch?

 

also if i wanted to make a precise shape like a 70mm oval how would i do that?

for the rectangle choose no fill, and a outline color:

you can erase a part of a object by plcing 2 objects above eachothe, select both and use subtract:div.thumb.png.0ffb2d5b7efae4e4c28e64723b885291.png

 

in the transform panel you can set the width and height of a oblect:
