Brush size short cut and Wacom Intuos

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I hope somebody has an idea.

You remember, when you use the brush tool, you can change the size and sharpness with the short cut ctrl+option and dragging.

This works with the mouse for Designer and Photo.

But, why not with my Wacom Intuos 4

I get crazy :-(

Thanks a lot

Hello Mischugo,
Strange? It’s still working for me with my Intuos4 in both Designer & Photo.
Or is it?
Yes, it is working here, but only when using the tablet button that I have set to mimic Ctrl+Opt. If I try holding down the actual physical keys on the Mac and dragging the pen nothing happens, just like for you.
So looks like some kind of bug but who’s, Affinity or Wacom, I’m not sure…?

Edit: OK just reinstalled my Wacom driver (6.3.15-3) and it's all working as it should now. Suggest you try the same. BACKUP your Wacom preferences FIRST with the Wacom Tablet Utility so you can restore them all again.

Normally Wacom. They simply do not have any competition.
But, however, when the next generation of iPad Pro is out (not the current) then i will use that as my new "Wacom" :-)

Thanks again. It works! :-)

But, try another thing with the wacom pen.

Open preferences, then click on the small triangle.

Use the pen, then use the mouse. With the pen, the menu don't keeps open. With a mouse, it works.

Cheers

Hello again,
Actually this one works fine for me, no problems.
I would also note though, when using the pen with the drop-down, once you open it, if you do not lift the pen you can move the cursor over any of the entries to highlight them. If you lift the pen now, that entry will open for you.

Hmm… Well I’ve just spent 5min or so constantly opening and closing that little triangle with the pen and maybe 15 or 20% of the time as you say it dose not stay open.
So yes perhaps it’s not as reliable with the pen as a mouse click, but mostly I don’t find it a problem.

Ok , may be we are thinking different. No problem :-)

For me, this kind of handling is not working consistent.

Click with a pen is the same like a cklik with a mouse. Thats what expected.

Also drawing follows this rules, without preasures ;)

I think, it could be a wacom issue
