Hi,

I know how to resize brushes and change hardness/opacity using keyboard shortcuts but is there a way to alter the rotation of the brush by either holding down a modifier or step by step using keys? The clone tool is crying out for this ability - I can't believe its not there… Please tell me it is :)

Regards,

M

Hi Mmuller,

There isn't a shortcut for Rotating the Brush I'm afraid. This has been requested in the past however so it may be added in a future update.

Thanks

C

The brush can be rotated by pressing shift + arrow but is there a way to see the actual degrees and how to reset it back? I am working with the clone tool and rotating it but it's really difficult to know which degree it's currently at and when the brush has been rotated back to the start. Hope that makes sense.

For the Clone Brush Tool, there is a "Rotation:" field on the Context Toolbar, along with Scale & Flip items. If you can't see them, either in Views show Context Toolbar is not enabled, or the workspace window is too narrow to show all the Context Toolbar items. If it is the latter, click on the icon at the end of that toolbar to show the items that it does not have enough width to show.
