How do you Select Sampled Color on iPad?

Recommended Posts

I’ve tried everything I can think of to use the Select Sampled Color Tool on iPad AP but I can’t get it to work. I am on iOS 11 beta though so I don’t know if it’s because of that or my own stupidity. Can someone please tell me how it supposed to work?

Make sure you're using finger as it does not work with Pencil. I, along with others, have suggested modifier keys to make things like this work more like on the desktop with a wacom.

Do you have a ‘Pixel’ (i.e. raster) layer selected in the Layers Studio?

That video is only about colour pickers. It doesn’t explain anything about making pixel selections.

The original question was about color picker not pixel selection. I know because I asked it.

I’m sorry, but that was far from obvious from either your topic title or your original post! The Select Sampled Colour Tool doesn’t just sample a colour, it creates a pixel selection based on that sampled colour. :)
