Aff Photo Feature Request

Recommended Posts

In PhotoShop, when you copy an image into your clipboard then start a new document, the document dimensions match those of the document in your clipboard. This saves a lot of time.

Could this be a feature in Affinity Photo?

Hey! This already exists, I believe. At least on Windows you can Ctrl+C to whatever you want to copy and then Ctrl+Alt+Shift+N to create a new document with the contents of the clipboard.

Check under File, it's the 3rd option

Hello,

Kind suggestions/questions:

- W x H or W.....H...label in resize Document by dimensions/size....

- Macros unrolled by default-terrible mess..

- Key/shortcut assignment to the macros

- Defined macros can be combined together into larger structures /kinda MultiMacros/

- Match photo/color ?

- Crop/Clip /existing seems bit awkward/

-how about tablet support /pressure/spread/?

-how about WIA scanning from within APhoto?

Cheers,

PAWA, thanks, yes sort of at least on Mac. You have to have an image open in another app to copy. You can't select in Finder (equivolent of My Computer), to copy/paste.

I should have been more specific. Photoshop will accept clipboard contents copied from an un-opened image.

Aaah, I see what you mean. I had never tried it, but Ctrl+C in an image in Explorer and trying to paste into Affinity doesn't work on Windows either. Sorry it didn't help!

Weird that you can copy image file in Finder and paste it as a layer in existing document but you cannot create a new document from that clipboard.

Hmm...yes. It seems you can get all around this. While it may seem insignificant since there are so many other options, the missing option is the real time save in my opinion. Could this be a programming oversight? I don't know programming but it seems like it's almost there... could this feature be added?
