For me, this is not a problem - export to PSD, and then open in Photoshop or Affinity Photo and redirect the font, of course, if it does not take much time. And I do not really need it. jamesholden 1 Quote UX/UI Designer & Affinity Designer user on Facebook | on Behance | on Dribbble AMD FX-9370 Eight-Core (Vishera)/ 4.4GHz/ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB/ SSD/ HDD1TB / DDR3 2x8GB

th_studio
If this is not possible then why does Affinity keep this option? Very frustrating

This topic is about exporting to PSD format, not importing a psd file (which is what the option applies to). Very frustrating It is somewhat. As many devs, dare I say the majority, still require PSDs with text as editable text at handover,. But from one of the explanations here, it sounds like it may never ever be fixed.
Staff MEB Posted August 20, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 20, 2019 Affinity apps currently don't export PSD's with editable text - it wasn't implemented yet - and due to the lack of PSD documentation dealing specifically with text it's something that's not easy to achieve. We do hope to add editable text support later (export). Admittedly though pragmatism and my experience here in these forums has taught me as there is no fixed date this may never happen. Fingers crossed. albertkinng
I don't get it, Pixelmator can export in editable text why Affinity Photo don't? I think Serif is waiting for version 2.0 to release the code then... Ducky
Is this problem fixed, as I cannot export to psd and this problem arose in 2017?
m.vlad
+1 to revisit this. It's an important part of a potential adobe-affinity workflow and it would make mixing in affinity and adobe in teams easier (I for one have to use photoshop for a web design project at the moment, and i find myself hating the UI/UX, however if I could just use affinity and export a viable psd from that, I could just give that to the team and be done with it) Quote Mădălin Vlad Graphic Designer contact@mvlad.design https://mvlad.design
